Where is IZY based?

IZY is based in Stellenbosch, South Africa, in the Western Cape's Cape Winelands.

The brand is independently run from Stellenbosch and is proudly South African.

Being based in Stellenbosch is an important part of IZY's identity, as the brand works with local makers and produces its clothing on a small scale.

Why does IZY follow a slow-fashion model?

IZY was created to offer an alternative to the traditional fast-fashion model.

As a small independent brand, we don't want to produce large quantities of clothing without knowing whether those garments will be needed.

Instead, we focus on creating considered designs and producing them on a smaller scale.

Our goal is to create clothing that customers genuinely want to wear, rather than encouraging constant consumption.

Is IZY sustainable?

IZY takes a more considered approach to clothing production, but we do not claim that our clothing has zero environmental impact.

Every garment requires materials, energy, labour and resources.

Instead of making broad claims about being completely sustainable, we focus on the areas we can directly control.

Why does IZY make clothing to order?

IZY makes clothing to order because we are a small independent fashion brand and want to avoid producing large quantities of clothing without knowing how much will actually be needed.

Traditional mass production can result in excess stock when garments are produced in quantities greater than customer demand.

Our made-to-order approach allows us to produce more intentionally and according to actual orders.

It does not eliminate waste completely, but it is one way we can approach production on a smaller scale.

Why does IZY take longer to deliver than some clothing brands?

Large fashion retailers often keep significant quantities of finished clothing in warehouses, which allows them to dispatch orders quickly.

IZY operates differently.

Because our garments are primarily made to order, we need time to produce your garment before shipping it.

Our usual production time is 7–14 days.

We know this requires a little more patience, but it is an important part of our small-scale production model.

Does IZY sell T-shirts?

Yes. IZY creates graphic and everyday T-shirts as part of its collections.

Our Not Your Average Tee is designed with an oversized, boxy fit and is made from heavyweight 100% cotton.

Selected IZY T-shirts feature original artwork and graphic prints created in collaboration with local artist Hanel Loubser.

How long will my order take to arrive?

There are two parts to receiving an IZY order:

Production: approximately 7–14 days

Shipping: once your garment has been completed and dispatched, delivery time depends on the courier and your location.

Because our garments are made to order, please allow for the production period before your parcel is shipped.
