IZY is a South African slow-fashion clothing brand based in Stellenbosch, in the heart of the Cape Winelands.

 

Founded by fashion designer Isabel Smal, IZY was created around a simple idea: clothing should be thoughtfully designed, well made and made to be worn again and again.

 

We create easy-to-wear, timeless pieces for women and men, designed with comfort, versatility and longevity in mind. From everyday dresses and relaxed sets to elevated basics and statement pieces, our collections are designed to fit naturally into your wardrobe rather than follow a constant cycle of trends.

SLOW FASHION, INTENTIONALLY.

At IZY, we choose quality over quantity.

 

We don’t believe in producing large amounts of clothing simply to keep up with demand. Instead, we work on a small-scale, made-to-order model, where garments are produced when they are ordered.

 

This approach allows us to avoid unnecessary overproduction and helps us reduce the amount of unsold clothing and excess stock that can come with traditional mass-production models.

 

It also means that every IZY piece is made with intention rather than being produced simply because we think it might sell.

MADE LOCALLY.

IZY is proudly South African and based in Stellenbosch, Western Cape.

 

Our garments are made locally through a small network of skilled seamstresses and makers. Keeping our production close to home allows us to have a more personal relationship with the people making our clothes and gives us greater visibility over the production process.

 

For us, slow fashion isn’t only about what we make. It’s also about how, where and by whom it is made
